The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) has confiscated goods valued at over R500,000 following a successful operation in Musina, Limpopo.
Platoon 1 of Bravo Company, deployed in the area, was conducting a foot patrol along the Limpopo River when they spotted a group of individuals loading large carrier bags into a white Toyota Quantum panel van, which was parked strategically in the bushes.
Upon noticing the presence of the soldiers, the suspects quickly abandoned the bags and fled on foot across the border into Zimbabwe.
Upon investigation, the soldiers discovered 10 master boxes of Remington Gold Cigarettes, valued at R218,520 by Customs. The van, which was linked to criminal activity, was also confiscated, with a value of R450,000.
